Sweet mother of Christ, we've done it. We have signed the lease on a newly-renovated space at the Charlestown Rehearsal Studios. The smell of the new carpet is intoxicating. Card keys! A freight elevator! Reliable Power!
The Red Sox are buying the building in which we currently rehearse, "New Alliance." It has been a good home, not unlike the beer-soaked and cigarette-burned abodes in which many of scuba's band members spent their formative years.
Often slamming a door shut in one corner of the universe will break open a window in another. Ara Vora smacked a line drive through a window of opportunity for us, and we'll be moving into a virgin space on January 1st, 2006.

What could we possibly do with 2200 cubic feet? (Especially when the lease states we can't hang anything on the walls or ceiling.) Drink! Wait... the lease stipulates we can't do that, either. Make loud rock and roll noises! Oh, wait... only between 7:00 PM and 1:00 AM on weekedays, and a little more on weekends. Aw, who cares. It's clean and unmarred by thousands of Sharpie(tm) renditions of penises and devil-worshiping skulls.
If you want to get your band into one of the remaining spaces give Angela Smith a call at (617) 241-0016. Tell her scuba sent you so we can save a few bucks on rent!
