Very Nice Reviews of the New Rekkid
Early reviews are in on our first record. Some very nice things have been said. So far our favorite is by John Owen: "In a just world, or a different time, any one of these songs should be, or should have been, a monster underground hit, part of the lingua franca of cool youth to be passed down by word of mouth."

NYC, There we Go!

Not a bad city when the trains stay on the trax and the broad at the HoJo can count to two (one bed, two bed, red bed, blue bed). By any measure however (excepting some sort of objective measuring device which we hardly have time to contemplate now), our trip to New York was an unmitigated success mitigated only by train wrecks and shoebox size hotel rooms with missing beds.

But, Scuba, always with an eye to the positive...

NYC, Here We Come!
Holy crap. We're playing the Big Apple. Gas money! Accommodations! Food! Equipment theft! Interpersonal tension! The probability of remembering this adventure is pretty high. We have some sketchy details on our shows page, and we'll certainly post the insurance and police paperwork upon our return.

Scuba Plays the Middle East

We had a great time playing the Middle East this past Tuesday with Ara Vora, Lady of Spain, and The Beatings (from Boston). We've got MP3s from the show here, and our pal Jean took an astonishing number of photos. If only all of our Tuesday nights could be so much fun.

Our Web Site is Back

The little, 6-year old beige plastic box under our drummer's lizard cage finally threw a disk and has been out-of-order since. We lost our Web site and e-mail, as did some of the foolish people that entrusted us with their Internet presence. The outtage erased a lot of data that we're pretty certain was valuable enough to have been backed-up by responsible, forward-thinking, experienced system administrators. After a few angry glares and a couple dramatic shrugs we have determined that this data is irrecoverable.
